About our Covers
PoolStore swimming pool winter debris covers are made from woven polyethylene UV stabilised material. Usually the cover overlaps the pool by 1 foot all around. All covers have webbing straps and a rubbing strip around the edge.
All covers come complete with fixings. The fixing is a 'P' shaped metal clip. The stem of the 'P' goes in to a 6mm hole that you must drill into your pool surround about 2ft back from the water's edge. In to the loop of the 'P' is attached a spring type fixing and attached to that is the webbing strap of the cover. In the spring the fixing comes out to leave just the 6mm hole. If you have a permanently fixed ladder you can have a tailor made ladder cut-out to go around it.
PoolStore supplies 2 types of swimming pool winter debris cover - the Classic and the Superweb. All our covers have 4ft spacings on the straps. Other manufacturers have 5ft spacing and are still more expensive!
The Classic is the most popular swimming pool cover and is suitable for most domestic pools. It has straps every 4ft and a large 600g heavy duty PVC reinforcement under each corner.
The Superweb has straps every 4ft and a large 600g heavy duty PVC reinforcement under each corner but the straps continue right across the cover from side to side and top to bottom. This means you can get extra tension on the cover. Useful for big covers and exposed, windy sites.
You can upgrade any swimming pool cover to have the heavy duty reinforcing on the corners continued around the entire underside of the perimiter to protect from rough copings.
A kidney shape or any irregular shape swimming pool is no problem. We can even collect your old cover and use it as a template for a new one.
In addition to winter debris covers PoolStore now sells a winter / safety cover. This is like a debris cover but the webbing and fixings are strengthened to bring it up to the standard of a safety cover, strong enough to stop a half a ton cow from drowning!
