What is so good about a heat pump?
Heat pumps are closely related to air conditioning units. Instead of taking heat out of the air and discarding it they use the heat to warm up the pool water. The air doesn't have to be all that warm, even at 10 deg C a heat pump will work very well.
Best of all you get more Kilowatts of heat out than you put kilowatts of electricity in. The heat is put into the water by compressing and evaporating gasses. The energy required to run the gas compressor is much less than the energy the gasses transfer to the water so typically for each unit of electricity put in you get 4 units of heat out.

Heat pumps are sited outdoors. You will need an electricity supply to it but the plumbing to the pool is simple.
The H40Y is just 480 x 755 x 515mm (W x H x D); or 19 x 30 x 20 inches.
The H50Y and H60Y are 640 x 755 x 630mm (W x H x D); or 25 x 30 x 25 inches.
